Studio Policies

Tuition & Payment Terms

Art Unplugged tuition is $120 per month and includes standard class supplies. Tuition invoices are sent on the 1st of each month and are nonrefundable.

Any unpaid or unresolved tuition balance must be resolved by the 5th of the month. A $25 late fee will be added after the 5th.

Monthly tuition reserves the student’s recurring class placement.

Lesson Scheduling & Attendance

Art Unplugged students attend weekly on their designated class day and time. Classes do not roll over from one month to the next.

Tuition is not prorated except during a student’s first month of enrollment. If a student begins mid-month, the first month’s tuition will be prorated and is due before the first class.

Follow Your Art currently offers three class levels, generally recommended for the following ages:

  • Young at Art: ages 4–7
  • Crazy Artsy: ages 8–12
  • Art Daze: ages 13–18

Age ranges are a general guide. Class placement may also take into consideration a student’s interests, experience, maturity, and individual learning needs.

Funding & Payment

Follow Your Art accepts private pay and eligible educational funding through programs including Epic Charter Schools and Braintree Academy, when applicable.

Educational funding is subject to each program’s current approval requirements, available funds, and policies.

Parents or guardians are responsible for any tuition or fees not covered by their funding program.

Private-pay tuition may be paid by Venmo, cash, or check. Educational receipts are available upon request for funding, reimbursement, or recordkeeping purposes.

Holidays & Five-Week Months

Art Unplugged tuition is a flat $120 per month, with standard class supplies included.

Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of the number of class meetings in a particular calendar month. Some months may include scheduled studio breaks, holidays, or five class weeks. This flat monthly tuition keeps pricing consistent and predictable throughout the year.

Students attend their regularly scheduled weekly class unless a studio closure or holiday break has been announced in advance.

Cancellations & Make-Up Lessons

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for student cancellations in order to qualify for a make-up lesson.

Make-up lessons may be completed by joining another regularly scheduled class when space is available. Make-up lessons should be completed within 30 days of the missed class and are subject to available space.

Missed classes without notice are not eligible for a make-up lesson or tuition credit.

If special circumstances require a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, please contact me so we can discuss the situation.

Because Follow Your Art is a single-instructor studio, there may occasionally be times when I need to cancel a regularly scheduled lesson. If this occurs, I will either offer a make-up opportunity or apply an appropriate credit to the student’s next tuition invoice.

Tardiness

Please arrive on time so students can receive the full benefit of their scheduled lesson.

Class time lost due to student tardiness cannot be carried over, extended, or prorated. My schedule often includes consecutive lessons and other commitments, so I am unable to extend a class beyond its scheduled ending time to accommodate a late arrival.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Students should arrive no more than five minutes before their scheduled lesson and should be picked up within five minutes after class ends.

Because Follow Your Art is an in-home studio, please do not drop students off earlier than this window. Students who arrive early should remain with their parent or guardian until the studio is ready to welcome them.

Please plan for prompt pick-up after class so I can prepare for the next lesson or attend to other scheduled responsibilities.

If someone other than the student’s parent or guardian will be picking them up, please let me know in advance.

Parking is available in the studio driveway or along the street directly in front of the studio. Please do not park in neighboring driveways or block mailboxes.

Parents are welcome to wait inside during lessons if desired.

Parent Participation

Parents are always welcome to wait inside the studio during their child’s lesson.

While observing, I ask that parents allow students the freedom to make their own artistic choices and work through the creative process independently. Please avoid correcting, changing, or making discouraging comments about a student’s artwork while they are creating.

At Follow Your Art, students are encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and develop confidence in their own artistic instincts.

Parents can best support this process by showing interest, asking encouraging questions, and allowing the student to take ownership of their work.

Studio Safety & Personal Belongings

Follow Your Art strives to maintain a safe, supportive, and comfortable studio environment.

Art-making may involve tools and materials such as scissors, carving tools, hot glue, clay tools, paints, and other equipment that require careful handling. Students are expected to follow studio safety instructions and use materials and equipment only as directed.

Any injury, even if minor, should be reported to the instructor immediately so appropriate action can be taken.

Parents are encouraged to discuss any specific safety concerns before class.

Students are also encouraged to keep track of their personal belongings. Please label personal items when appropriate and check for belongings before leaving the studio.

Contacting Me

Parents and students are welcome to contact me by phone or text during daytime hours with questions about classes, scheduling, or other studio matters.

I do not answer calls or texts while teaching, but I will return messages as soon as I am available.

To respect family and personal time, please refrain from calling or texting after 6:00 PM.

For messages outside of those hours, email is always welcome at:

Thank you for helping me keep Follow Your Art organized, welcoming, and enjoyable for every student. These policies allow me to give each artist the time, attention, and creative space they deserve.
