Welcome to the creative world of Amanda Gipson! I am a passionate art teacher and proud graduate of Arkansas State University with a bachelor's degree in studio art and an art history enthusiast. Beyond the classroom, I'm a dedicated homeschool mom, fostering creativity in my two wonderful children. Operating from my cozy in-home studio, I'm on a mission to make art enjoyable and accessible for everyone. I firmly believe in the universal connection to art and the therapeutic benefits it offers to everyone. I am a versatile artist, I love to get my hands dirty! My favored mediums are watercolor, oil painting, and mixed media. I love to delve into the world of surrealism. From expressing emotions through skeletons with bursting with color to transforming octopus tentacles into vining flowers, my art explores emotional and unusual. More than anything, I love to paint my muse, Marilyn Monroe. I believe my purpose is to unveil her in a fresh, intimate light that transcends the glamorous facade. Since childhood, I've immersed myself in her story, devouring books and biographies to understand the mysteries of her life. In my art, I weave together her astounding beauty with the complexities of her mind, showcasing her humanity. Beyond the well-known glamour, I delve into the darker truths that resonate with us all.
